Use your hair straightener to curl your hair

Do you feel like having a change from your straight hair? You don’t have to go out and buy a hair curler; you can curl your locks using your hair straightener.

Here’s how:
Wait 24 hours after washing your hair. Greasy hair makes it easier to hold the curls. If you have to wash it, only use a small amount of shampoo, and do not condition.

Apply a product to help hold the curls and protect your hair, but make sure that you don’t get the product on your scalp or roots as this could weigh down your hair and make it look flat. The most commonly used products are mousse, gel or hair spray.

The easiest way to curl is to use a medium size straightening iron on dry hair.

Gently part your hair at the root, keeping this part at the beginning of the straightener and twisting it. Keep the hair coiled tightly around the plates of the straighteners, while turning it.

If you want to be really daring with your hair straightener for a special night out, take one inch sections of your hair and wrap them in tinfoil from top to bottom, then starting at the bottom fold it consortia style back to the root, then take your straightener and hold it on the folded wrap for a few seconds. Let it cool before removing the foil and you’ll have a zigzag effect in your hair.
