Choosing earrings for your face shape

Have you ever heard of facial contouring? No? To explain simply, it is a set of techniques and tips that highlight the beauty of a face. Some stylists, hairdressers and optometrists are considered beauticians as they undergo morph psychology training, in addition to their respective specialties. This training consists of learning the faces and gestures to understand the behaviour. Knowing the shape of the face, it can help to choose a proper haircut, a pair of glasses, a style or earrings according to the face shape.
This year earrings are in different colours or plain silver. Large rings, rectilinear shapes, or patterns are in fashion, but also beads for a more discreet look, these are all classic earrings that match any outfit.

Oval shaped face
You have an advantage: you can wear any earrings. You can choose the classics, or for those who have more style, choose earrings that are oval, straight or triangular.

Round shaped face
You should keep in mind that you need to lengthen your face. It is therefore recommended to opt for narrow earrings or earrings with curves. In addition, to break the roundness of the face, you can choose oblong or rectangular earrings.

Long face (rectangular)
You must broaden your face to make it appear shorter. Thus, choose long earrings that will balance the face width.

Square shaped face
It is advisable to create length and reduce the width of the face. Earrings with an angular cut and blunt points (which soften the square face), long cascades of stones (to make the jaw look thinner) or the midsize earrings are more appropriate for this type of face.

Heart-shaped face (or diamond)
You must create the illusion of a stronger jaw since the forehead is wide and the chin is narrow. Therefore the water-drop shaped earrings or those with an oval shape and even circular patterns are recommended for this face shape. Long thin earrings should be avoided.

Pyramidal or trapezoidal shaped face
You should concentrate on the lower face, cheeks, until the chin. So you need to restore a balance between the jaws and upper face. You'll want to choose waterfall, flat or oval shaped earrings.

But overall you should experiment with different colour earrings or silver or gold to find those that suit you best.
